GREENWOOD, Ind. – Alderson Broaddus’ Koby Overstreet and Kentucky Wesleyan’s Johnathan Eberhardt were tabbed for Great Midwest Athletic Conference weekly baseball awards as announced on Monday.
 
Overstreet toed the rubber and racked up two key league wins for G-MAC Pitcher of the Week status while Eberhardt enjoyed a power surge for his second spring selection as G-MAC Player of the Week.

Overstreet compiled 13 innings over two strong starts that resulted in winning decisions against Kentucky Wesleyan and Salem International this past week.
 
The Battlers, second in the league standings at 14-2, salvaged a series split against KWC on Sunday/Monday before polishing off the four-game conference sweep against SIU later in the week.
 
The sophomore righty dazzled with a near-spotless 0.69 ERA and had 13 strikeouts in as many innings while walking just two and giving up only one earned run.
 
Overstreet tamed Kentucky Wesleyan’s high-scoring offense by limiting the Panthers to just one run on five hits. He recorded three strikeouts as AB prevailed by a 3-1 score.
 
Later in the week, he recorded double-digit strikeout totals with 10 against Salem International, tossing an eight-inning seven-hit shutout. The Battlers gave him two runs of support in the blanking of the Tigers.
 
Overstreet has logged 37 innings this spring with a 3.16 ERA to rank sixth in the conference. He has a 5-1 win-loss record and has averaged more than a strikeout per inning in seven games started.

Eberhardt belted a total of five home runs and tallied 11 RBI while scoring 12 times as the Panthers opened up the offense versus Ohio Valley to the tune of earning three of four victories in the conference series win.
 
Eberhardt left the park for three home runs in the series opener against the Fighting Scots, going 4-for-7 at the plate with five RBI and three runs.
 
He drilled a solo shots in his first two plate appearances before hitting a two-run blast in the sixth inning. Eberhardt also chipped with an RBI single in the seventh as the Panthers won 16-4.
 
While Ohio Valley pitched around him a little more in the second game of the DH with two walks and a pair of runs, Eberhardt was a perfect 5-for-5 to start the next twinbill.
 
The junior slugged another home run, doubled and walked, while scoring four times and driving in a pair.
 
In Saturday’s second game, Eberhardt homered after going 2-for-6 at the plate with four more RBI and three runs scored. He also had a stolen base and recorded a defensive assist from the outfield.
 
Despite being held in check offensively in Monday’s DH vs. Alderson Broaddus, Eberhardt finished the week with a 12-for-29 line. He slugged close to 1.000 and had an on-base percentage of .469.
 
Eberhardt is now hitting .374 on the season through 32 games with 10 home runs, 10 doubles, 37 runs batted in and 40 runs scored.
