GREENWOOD, Ind. – Cedarville sophomore Carsyn Koch was named the seventh Great Midwest Athletic Conference Women’s Cross Country Athlete of the Week for the fall on Monday.
Koch and the Yellow Jackets had their final regular-season test before Saturday’s conference meet while competing at the Evansville Invitational over the weekend.
Already for selected conference weekly honors once this fall, Koch shined with a time of 18:19.50 on the 5K course.
Koch punched in with the G-MAC’s third-best 5K time this fall as she placed fifth out of 108 runners.
Cedarville finished tied for second in the team standings with Tennessee-Martin with 51 points apiece. There were a total of 10 teams participating in the event.
The Yellow Jackets are making preparations to head to the G-MAC Championship this weekend in Elkins, W.Va. Saturday’s women’s race will begin at 11:30 a.m. EST.
