USTFCCCA Division II Men's Preseason Top-25 Coaches Poll

NEW ORLEANS
– One day removed from being ranked third in the Midwest Region, the Cedarville University men’s cross country program was selected among the nation’s best according to the U.S. Track & Field Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on Wednesday.

The organization picked the Yellow Jackets at No. 16 in the USTFCCCA’s annual preseason top-25 coaches poll. The preseason regional rankings were also released earlier in the week.

Cedarville is one of four teams from the Midwest Region appearing in the first top-25 ranking. The other three are No. 2 Grand Valley State, No. 6 Southern Indiana, and No. 20 Ferris State.

The Yellow Jackets are the only CU team thus far to qualify for an NCAA Championship in the school's brief D-II history. They placed 15th in the country in both 2012 and 2013.

Paul Orchard is back for his 12th season as head coach and has guided the program to back-to-back championships in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference

Cedarville opens the season on Friday at the Queen City Invitational in Mason, Ohio.
