GREENWOOD, Ind. - Cedarville University junior standout Alexandra Archambault was selected as the G-MAC Women’s Cross Country Athlete of the Week with another notable 5K performance over the weekend.
Archambault paced seven Cedarville runners finishing within the top 20 as the Lady Jackets won the 24th Annual Friendship Invitational at the Elvin R. King course.
She clocked in with a time of 18:56 -- officially owning five of the conference’s top-10 times in the 5,000-meter distance -- and took second overall only to CU alum Hannah Brooker, the wife of former Yellow Jackets’ men’s standout Matt.
Cedarville won the eight-team meet with 34 points while Cleveland State and Cincinnati, rounded out the top three programs in attendance. The Lady Jackets have won four of the last five Friendship Invitational trophies and 14 overall.
