GREENWOOD, Ind. - Alderson Broaddus University junior Jenny Brewer has been named the G-MAC’s Women’s Cross Country Athlete of the Week after a dominant weekend showing at the Bethany Invitational on Saturday. As a team, the Battlers placed eighth in the 16-team field.
 
Brewer was the overall runner-up in a total grouping of 149 runners on the 6K course as she crossed the line with a time of 23:29. By averaging 6:19 per mile, she was just 18 seconds off the winning pace.
 
Her effort officially ranks seventh in the G-MAC’s top individual performance chart and she approached her personal best 6K time set last year at the Davis & Elkins Forest Festival. She ranks second and third all-time in the G-MAC's best 6K course times since tracked in 2013.
