INDIANAPOLIS - The Great Midwest Athletic Conference has named Kaleb Moore (P) and Jonathan Eberhardt (3B) of Kentucky Wesleyan the Conference Pitcher and Offensive Athlete of the Week.

Jonathan Eberhardt has been named the G-MAC’s Baseball Offensive Athlete of the Week for the first time this season after an impressive week at the plate for the Panthers, who went 4-0 last week in conference action and 5-0 overall on the week, putting them into a first place tie in the conference.
Eberhardt hit.625 with 11 runs batted in, seven doubles, a home run, and scored 10 runs in five games. He led the conference in slugging percentage (1.042), runs scored, hits, doubles, and total bases this past week. He was second in batting average, runs batted in, home runs, and third in on-base percentage.
Eberhardt recorded at least two hits in all five games he played last week, including a 5-5 effort that featured four doubles, an individual season-high in the G-MAC this season. He also had four hits and five RBI in the final game of the weekend to ensure the sweep of Salem International and bringing the Panthers into a first place tie with Trevecca Nazarene with one week of games left before the tournament.
On the season, Eberhardt is tied for first with 17 doubles and now leads the league with a .463 batting average, a .496 on-base percentage, and a .704 slugging percentage.

Baseball Pitcher of the Week

Kaleb Moore has been named the G-MAC’s Baseball Pitcher of the Week for the second time this season after a couple of impressive appearances on the mound for the Panthers, who went 4-0 last week in conference action. KWC swept a weekend series against Salem International and went 5-0 overall on the week with a mid-week victory over Kentucky State.
Moore went 2-0 on the week throwing a conference-high 12.1 innings over the two games. He struck out a league-high 14 batters last week and held opposing hitters to a league-low .095 batting average. He allowed just two runs over the two games.
In his second appearance of the week, Moore came in after KWC’s starter went just 1.2 innings and gave up five runs on seven hits. Moore calmed things down and allowed the Panthers to rally to force extra innings and eventually win the game going 7.1 innings allowing just a run on one hit and striking out eight.
In mid-week action, Moore started and threw five scoreless innings, allowing just three hits and striking out six in the team’s 12-1 win.
On the season, Moore is now 4-2 overall in five starts and eight total appearances, with a 3.89 earned run average. He has 34 strikeouts in 34.2 innings pitched.
