INDIANAPOLIS - The Great Midwest Athletic Conference has named Koby Overstreet (P) of Alderson Broaddus and Travis Phelps (INF) of Davis & Elkins the Conference Pitcher and Offensive Athlete of the Week, respectively.

Travis Phelps has been named the G-MAC’s Baseball Offensive Athlete of the Week for the first time this season after an impressive week at the plate for the Senators who went 4-0 last week in conference action and 6-0 overall on the week.
 
Phelps hit.611 with six runs batted in, a double, a triple, and also scored seven runs in six games. He led the conference in hits, on-base percentage, and batting average this past week by almost 70 points. He ranked among the league leaders in runs scored, slugging percentage, and total bases.
 
On the season, Phelps is now batting .372 to lead the Senators. He has a team-high 10 doubles, two triples, and total bases. He is fourth in the G-MAC in batting average and slugging percentage.

Baseball Pitcher of the Week

Koby Overstreet has been named the G-MAC’s Baseball Offensive Athlete of the Week for the first time this season after an impressive appearance on the mound for the Battlers, who went 4-0 last week in conference action, sweeping a weekend series against Cedarville.
 
Overstreet went 1-0 on the week throwing a complete game, two-hit shutout on Friday against Cedarville. He struck out six Yellow Jackets while allowing only two walks. Overstreet never allowed a runner past second base in the contest.
On the season, Overstreet is now 2-0 in four starts with a 2.77 earned run average. He has 20 strikeouts in 26 innings pitched.
