Baseball Pitcher of the Week

Kaleb Moore
Kentucky Wesleyan College (@KWCPanthers)
Senior - Pitcher
Maryville, TN - Maryville High School

Kaleb Moore has been named G-MAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week after throwing the conference’s first-ever no-hitter. The senior right-hander pitched a complete game (seven innings) and came extremely close to recording a perfect game.

In a non-conference outing against Kentucky State, Moore pitched seven innings without allowing a hit or a walk, and struck out 10 batters. He took the perfect game into the final inning and hit a batter with a pitch, allowing for the only person to reach base in the game for Kentucky State.

The no-hitter was the first for the Panthers in at least 25 years and was the first in conference for the G-MAC in only the second season of competition.

The win for Moore improved him to 2-1 on the season and the 10 strikeouts moved him into second place on the team with 16 strikeouts compared to just five walks in just 12 innings pitched.
