INDIANAPOLIS - The Great Midwest Athletic Conference has announced that Courtney Heydt of Cedarville University has been named G-MAC Women's Tennis Athlete of the Week.

Courtney Heydt has been named the Great Midwest Athletic Conferences Women’s Tennis Athlete of the Week. In two matches this past week, Cedarville went 1-1, including a conference win over Central State University. Heydt was a perfect 4-0 in her matches.
 
Against Tiffin, who defeated Cedarville 5-4, Heydt won her match in the #5 singles spot against Nicole Ardner 6-0, 6-0. Heydt then teamed with Lily Schuler to win the #2 doubles match against Chelsea Beck and Abigail Schuster, 9-8. Tied at 8-8, they dominated the tiebreaker 7-0 to win the match.  
 
In the Yellow Jackets conference match against Central State, a 9-0 win, Heydt won 6-0, 6-0 out of the #2 singles position and 8-0 in #2 doubles action.

In singles action this season, Heydt has a team high 13 wins, as she holds a record of 13-4, winning her last six in a row. In doubles action she is 11-3 and tied for the team lead in wins with Lily Schuler, her most recent doubles partner. The pair is 2-0 on the season together.
