INDIANAPOLIS - The Great Midwest Athletic Conference has announced that Joy Dice Cedarville University has been named the first-ever G-MAC Women's Tennis Athlete of the Week.

On the season, Dice holds a record of 5-4 in singles action, primarily from the No. 2 and No. 3 position, and a 6-7 record in doubles at the No. 1 position.
At the number 2 position, Dice is 2-0 including a recent three-set tiebreaker win against Simpson College over spring break in Orlando, Florida. Dice won her back and forth match 6-2, 2-6, 10-7.
Dice began the year with two-straight wins in singles action over Indiana East and Brescia and more recently is riding a two-match winning streak with wins over Simpson and Findlay. In doubles action, Dice won her first three matches of the season, paired with Brooke Johnson against Shawnee State, Indiana East, and Brescia, and has also won her last two matches with Johnson against Simpson and Findlay.
The Yellow Jackets overall are 10-5 on the season and will open up conference play this week as they are the favorites to win the inaugural women’s tennis championship.
Note: The G-MAC, in its inaugural season, sponsors women’s tennis currently with three programs (Cedarville, Central State, and Ursuline), but will expand to include at least six programs, with the Athlete of the Week honors to cover both the fall and spring seasons.
