INDIANAPOLIS - The Great Midwest Athletic Conference has announced that Connor Haddock and Blake Rogers of Trevecca Nazarene University have been named G-MAC Baseball Pitching and Offensive Athletes of the Week respectively.

Blake Rogers, the conference’s first-ever Offensive Athlete of the Week has earned the honor for the second time this season, both times he has earned the honor alongside teammate Connor Haddock (Pitching AOTW). Rogers led the Trojans to a doubleheader sweep of Cedarville, giving the Trojans their first two conference wins (2-0 in conference) and taking control of the conference standings from the Yellow Jackets (2-3 in conference).
 
In the doubleheader, Rogers went 4-8 (.500) with a walk, three runs scored, two driven in, and totaled eight bases with two stolen bases.  In game one, a 4-2 win, Rogers was 1-2 with a walk, but his one hit was a solo home run in the bottom of the sixth inning (seven inning contest) giving the Trojans a 3-1 lead, which proved to be the insurance run the team needed.
 
In the second game, Rogers was 3-6 at the plate with a double and a stolen base in 6-5 win in 12-innings. He scored twice and drove in a run. His run was TNU’s first of the game in the fourth inning as the team trailed 3-0. In the bottom of the seventh (nine inning contest), Rogers RBI-single gave the Trojans a 5-4 lead, which they held until the top of the ninth when Cedarville scored and sent the game to extras.
 
In the 12th inning, Rogers reached on a fielder’s choice, but advanced to second on a single, then stole third base and scored on a game-winning single by teammate Tyler Tichenor.
 
On the season, Rogers is sixth in the conference with a .341 batting average, however his 30 hits rank third, while he is second with 25 RBI, tied for the conference lead with a pair of triples, and is third with 43 total bases.

PITCHING AOTW

Connor Haddock, the conferences first ever Pitching Athlete of the Week, has picked up his second Athlete of the Week honor this season, once again alongside teammate Blake Rogers (Offensive Athlete of the Week). Haddock pitched a complete game against Cedarville, winning 4-2 to improve to a perfect 4-0 on the season.  
 
In the victory, Haddock went seven innings, giving up eight hits and two runs. He pitched five scoreless innings before giving up a run in the sixth inning to tie the game at 1-1. In the bottom of the sixth, his team scored three to give him some insurance runs and Haddock used it to close the game out, 4-2. He struck out five hitters, walking only two.
 
On the season, Haddock carries a 3.03 earned run average, which is fourth best in conference. He leads the conference with four wins, and is third with 32 strikeouts, while posting just seven walks. He leads the team with 35.2 innings, making five starts and seven total appearances. He has one complete game and was a part of a combined shutout.
