INDIANAPOLIS - The Great Midwest Athletic Conference has announced that Tim Bowles of Trevecca Nazarene University and Logan Kasabian of Cedarville University have been named G-MAC Baseball Pitching and Offensive Athletes of the Week respectively.

Logan Kasabian helped guide Cedarville to a 3-0 week, as the Yellow Jackets swept a weekend series from Victory University (Memphis, Tennessee). In three high scoring contests, Kasabian led the way, going 9-13 at the plate, for a .692 batting average.
 
Kasabian led the team with 11 runs batted in and seven runs scored in the three contests. In game one, he went 4-5 with six RBI as the Yellow Jackets pounded out 18 hits and scored 17 runs. In game two of the doubleheader, 1-2 and drove in two runs.  
 
He wrapped up the weekend, guiding the team to the series sweep, going 4-6 with a triple, four runs scored and three RBI’s. With stat files still being calculated by Victory, Kasabian ranks third in the conference with a .429 batting average. However, with the weekend’s numbers being added, his average will improve to .500 (24-48), which most likely will lead the conference
 
On the season, Kasabian has 24 hits, 16 runs scored, and 19 runs batted in.

PITCHING AOTW

Tim Bowles picked up a win and a save last week as the Trojans completed a perfect 4-0 week to improve to 14-10, winning five straight and seven of their last eight games. Bowles picked up his save in Trevecca’s 6-4 win over St. Andrews.
 
In his relief appearance, he tossed four shutout innings, allowing four hits, while striking out five.
In his win, he once again pitched four innings of relief. He gave up two runs (one unearned) on just two hits. He struck out a pair and helped preserve a 8-5 win over Bloomsburg.
 
For the week, he allowed six hits, just the one earned run and struck out a team-high seven batters. On the season, Bowles is 1-1 with a 2.86 earned run average. He has made a conference-high nine appearances, collecting a conference-high two saves (tied with Rob Nesteroff of Cedarville).
 
He has thrown 22 innings (two shy of being eligible for conference rankings), allowing 20 hits and struck out 11, as opponents are hitting just .235 against the righty - which would rank him fourth in the conference if he had the minimum number of innings thrown.
