Freshman Michele Klim has been named G-MAC Women’s Cross Country Athlete of the Week after a solid performance at the All-Ohio Championships this past weekend.

In the Division II/NAIA category, Klim took sixth of 84 student-athletes with a time of 23:18.38 – a time faster than 35 of 50 Division I student-athletes who ran the same course. She finished 30th overall in a field of 283 runners from all NCAA DI, DII, DIII, and NAIA.

She also topped all G-MAC runners in the race, included the 2012 G-MAC Runner of the Year and Conference Individual Champion from Cedarville Alex Archambault by a minute and 14 seconds. In fact, the next closest G-MAC runner to finish was Nicole Burlinson from Ursuline, over a minute behind Klim.
