INDIANAPOLIS - The Great Midwest Athletic Conference has named Matt Brooker of Cedarville the Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week.

Matt Brooker has been named G-MAC Men’s Cross Country Athlete of the Week for the third-straight week and seventh time in his career after winning the G-MAC Men’s Cross Country Championship race this past weekend for the second year in a row.

The senior helped guide his team, which was ranked #21 nationally, to the G-MAC Conference Championship title for the second-straight season. Brooker finished the 8,000 meter course in a time of 24:42.20, which was nine seconds slower than the year prior - yet the conditions which included 20-30 mph winds and temperatures in the 40’s were difficult to compete.
 
For winning the race, Brooker was named G-MAC Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Year for the second time, as well as a All-Conference First Team selection.
