INDIANAPOLIS - The Great Midwest Athletic Conference has named Lauren Jackson of Cedarville the Women's Tennis Athlete of the Month, kicking off the 2013-14 season. Jackson went 5-2 in singles action during September, and has won four straight in doubles.

Lauren Jackson has been named the Great Midwest Athletic Conferences Women’s Tennis Athlete of the Month to begin the 2013-14 season. In the seven matches she has played in this season, she is 5-1 in the number two singles position and 0-1 at the number one spot losing an extremely tight match against Otterbein in three sets.
In doubles, the freshman teamed up with senior Joy Dice in her last four matches at number two doubles and won with relative ease. Her only loss in doubles came at the number one spot with Courtney Heydt to Otterbein.
In her five singles wins, she has outscored her opponents 61-15 and has not lost a set. In doubles wins, her and Joy Dice have outscored opponents 32-3.
