INDIANAPOLIS - The Great Midwest Athletic Conference has released its Men's and Women's Cross Country Runners of the Week. Matt Brooker from Cedarville University, and Nicole Burlinson, of Ursuline College, guided their teams to solid finishes over the weekend.

Cedarville
The Yellow Jackets cross country team had an impressive team outing against some top regional talent. Cedarville outran 10 schools, including four teams from the NCAA Division I ranks. The Jackets totaled 47 points, followed in the standings by runner-up Cincinnati (68) and third-place Xavier (74).
Matt Brooker guided the team to the first place team finish with his second place finish as an individual, out of 135 total runners. Brooker finished the Queen City Invitational in 15:41.13. This was the first race of the year for Brooker, who sat out last season as a red shirt and didn't run last week as the top five runners rested last weekend.

Ursuline
The Ursuline cross country team continued its improvement under new head coach Ralph White with a fourth place finish at the Ric Sayre Invitational this past weekend. Leading the way for the Arrows was freshman Nicole Burlinson, with a time of 20:56.50.
Her time in the 5,000 meter race was good enough for 22nd place in a field of 92 runners. It is the second-straight race in which the freshman has finished first for the Arrows, running the 4,000 meter race last week in 17:08.10.
