INDIANAPOLIS - The Great Midwest Athletic Conference has released its Men's and Women's Cross Country Runners of the Week. Greg Johnson and Alexandra Archambault, both of Cedarville University, guided their teams to solid finishes at the season-opening Dayton Flyers 5K.

Greg Johnson finished third overall among the Intercollegiate Division, made up of NCAA Division II and III programs, as an individual as the Yellow Jackets officially opened their 2012 schedule at the Dayton 5K Challenge. The Cedarville Men’s Cross Country finished second as a team.
Johnson’s time came in at 16:50.40, just two seconds shy of second place overall and 12.5 seconds behind the top runner.

Alex Archambault brought home a first place finish in her first collegiate race, guiding the Lady Jackets to a first place finish in the Intercollegiate Division, made up of NCAA Division II and III programs, at the Dayton 5K Challenge to officially open the 2012 season.
Archambault’s time of 19:19.30 was ten seconds better than second place and teammate Neola Putnam, and would have ranked 19th among the NCAA Division I runners, topping 60 Division I runners.
