Two matches, two wins for CU

CEDARVILLE, Ohio - The Lady Jackets welcomed Ursuline and Central State to open a five-match homestand at the Johnson-Murdoch Tennis Complex and came away with back-to-back 9-0 victories.

Cedarville won all but two games in the three doubles matches. Brooke Johnson and Lily Schuler set the pace with an 8-1 result in the #1 slot. Melissa Stoltzfus and Joy Dice were 8-0 victors while Maryssa Herbert and Chelsea Diamond won their match, 8-1.

Schuler needed three sets to win her #1 singles match by a 4-6, 6-0, 10-8 count. Stoltzfus, Herbert, Diamond, Lyndsay Stine, and Emily Paul all won in straight sets.

The Lady Jackets, 11-8 overall, had little problem with Central State. Stoltzfus and Dice moved up to #1 doubles for an 8-0 decision. Herbert and Diamond jumped a spot to #2 and won, 8-3. Emma Rahn and Colleen Browning picked up a point via forfeit.

Schuler had little problem in a 6-0, 6-0 result at #1 singles. Diamond, Stine, Paul, Rahn, and Browning lost just six games total in the other contests.
