CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Cedarville eliminated Malone, 7-2, from the Ohio Independent Championship at the Johnson-Murdoch Tennis Complex to advance to the finals.

The Lady Jackets will square off with Walsh for the title.

CU grabbed a 2-1 lead against Malone following doubles. Lily Schuler and Brooke Johnson fashioned an 8-3 decision at the #1 slot. The #2 duo of Joy Dice and Melissa Stoltzfus came out on top, 8-1.

The Lady Jackets owned the top five singles positions. The winners were Schuler (7-5, 6-4), Johnson (6-2, 6-1), Dice (7-5, 6-3), Stoltzfus (6-2, 6-2), and Maryssa Herbert (6-0, 6-1).

Cedarville is 13-11 overall.
