MOBILE, Ala. - The Lady Jackets brought their 2011-12 season to a close with a 5-1 victory over Emmanuel in the NCCAA National Tournament at the Copeland-Cox Tennis Center.
Cedarville grabbed a 3-0 lead after doubles. The No. 1 tandem of Brooke Johnson and Lily Schuler recorded an 8-4 results. Other points came from No. 2 Joy Dice and Melissa Stoltzfus, 9-7, as well as No. 3 Maryssa Herbert and Chelsea Diamond, 8-1.
The Jackets needed two wins in singles to clinch the match. Schuler won at the No. 2 slot, 6-4, 6-2, and No. 6 Lyndsay Stine notched the other point, 6-0, 6-1.
Cedarville ends the year with an overall record of 14-14.
