Kentucky Wesleyan centerfielder Jordan White made history on Thursday when he became the Panther's first baseball All-American by receiving NCAA Division II second team honors from Rawlings and the American Baseball Coaches Association.
White, a senior from Leitchfield, Ky. (Grayson County HS), led the Panthers and the GLVC in batting average (.403), hits (75), doubles (19) and total bases (116).
He also topped the Panthers in home runs (6), RBIs (35), slugging percentage (.624), on-base percentage (.420), runs scored (33) and at bats (186) in starting all 49 games.
White also earned ABCA All-Midwest Region Golden Glove first team recognition for his perfect 1.000 fielding percentage with 122 putouts, six assists and no errors.
He previously received the ABCA Midwest Region Player of the Year, Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Year and KWC's Male Student-Athlete of the Year Awards.
