Three weeks in a row, Matt Brooker has been named the men’s cross country runner of the week, after he proved to be one of the top runners in the state of Ohio, regardless of the division in which he competes.

Brooker, who took first place at the All-Ohio Championships at the Division II/NAIA level, topped 80 runners in that division. His time of 24:42.76 was also good enough to 2nd out of 143 Division III runners, and 3rd out of 59 Division I runners if he had competed in those divisions.

Hosted by the Yellow Jackets over the weekend, Brooker once again guided the team to a first place finish, the team’s third team win in four races. In the state of Ohio, Cedarville finished third out of 44 teams, finishing just behind Division I Cincinnati and Miami (Ohio).
