The Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) has announced the selection of Kim Vieira as the league's first Supervisor of Men's and Women's Soccer Officials. Vieira will be responsbile for the assigning and evaluation of soccer officials for G-MAC members beginning with the 2012 season.

He is currently serving as the assignor for two additional NCAA Division II conferences (Great Lakes Valley Conference, Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference) and also serves as the assignor for the Ohio Valley Conference (NCAA Division I), Mid-American Conference (NCAA Division I), Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (NCAA Division III), Mid-Central Conference (NAIA), Woverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (NAIA) and Midwest Collegiate Conference (NAIA).
Vieira, a graduate of Indiana University and former assistant coach for the Hoosiers, spent 20 years coaching both men and women collegiately before focusing solely on officiating.

He has officiated in every division in the NCAA and had the opportunity to work the national championship match in all three divisions, including most recently the NCAA Division III final in 2007. Additionally, Vieira officiated both the mens' and women's National NAIA Tournament during his career.

Vieira, a member of the National Intercollegiate Soccer Officials Association (NISOA) since 1984, was inducted to teh National Soccer Hall of Fame in 2005. He has been a member of the Central Indiana Intercollegiate Soccer Officials Association (CIISOA) and in 2011 was insturmental in starting a new NISOA chapter in Southwest Ohio, the Tri-State United Soccer Officials Association (TRUSOA). Vieira has earned several honors at the National Level of NISOA, including the Distinguished Service Award in 1987 and 2002 as well as Outstanding National Clinician in 2008.
