Plas will begin her duites overseeing the volleyball officiating program in the G-MAC for the 2012 season and assign and evaluate women's basketball officials for the 2012-13 academic year as well.

Plas, who has been inducted into four different Hall of Fames during her distinguished officiating career, brings an extensive background of assigning experience to the positions. She will be asked to assign, recruit, train and evaluate the volleyball and women's basketball officials that will be working G-MAC conference and non-conference contests in 2012-13.

Plas, who spent ten years assigning volleyball officials for the Horizon League (NCAA Division I) and 14 years as the assignor for the Mid-American Conference (NCAA Division I), currently serves as the Supervisor of Officials for the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAA Division III), the Ohio Athletic Conference (NCAA Division III) and the American Mideast Conference (NAIA). She has held the positions with the OAC and AMC since 1984 and 1982, respectively.

Additionally, Plas' volleyball experience extends beyond the assigning ranks as she has also served as the Director of Development for Volleyball for Ohio High Schools since 2010 and has been an Ohio rules interpreter and exam writer for 15 years.

Her basketball resume is also highly distinguished.

Plas is currently one of four NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Regional Advisors and she serves as Supervisor of Women's Bsaketball officials for five other regional conferences including the OAC, AMC, NCAC, Presidents Athletic Conference (NCAA Division III) and Ohio Community College Athletic Association (NJCAA).

Plas, who has officiated collegiately in NCAA Division I, II and III contests from 1980-1992, has been a registered Ohio High School Official since 1973. She also served as the Supervisor of the NAIA National Tournament from 2000-2006.

She has been inducted into the Lake Erie Basketball Officials Association Hall of Fame (2001), the Northern Ohio Basketball Officials Association Hall of Fame (2005), the Ohio Basketball Hall of Fame (2007) and the Ohio High School Officials Hall of Fame (2009).
