Seton Hill Wins Back-To-Back Men's Lacrosse Titles

GREENSBURG, Pa- Seton Hill captured its fourth Great Midwest Championship on Saturday, beating Davenport
 
The two went goal-for-goal before Seton Hill went on 6-0 run heading into the half. Seton Hill’s depth was on full display, as seven different Griffins scored in the half. Nate Herbster led the charge with a pair of goals. SHU headed into the second half of play with a 7-3 lead.
 
Seton Hill struck first in the third quarter, with goals by Riley Grudi and Dexter Hannigan within three minutes of play. Davenport’s Luke Eichenbauer answered to put the Panthhers within five.
 
The two would exchange goals heading into the final quarter, with Seton Hill ahead 12-6.
 
Davenports Luke Fritz connected with Tommy Becker to make the score 12-7 with 14:00 left on the clock. Becker would find the back of the net to put DU within four before SHU went on to score five goals to make the final 15-10.
 
Seton Hill’s Carter Li would end the game with a team-high four goals as Nate Herbster and Dexter Hannigan chipped in three goals apiece.
 
The Griffins earned the automatic qualifying bid to the North Region and will await their matchup as the NCAA Selection Show is set to air Sunday, May 3 at 10 P.M.
