FLORENCE, Ind.- The Great Midwest Athletic Conference is set to host its 13th annual men’s golf championship April 20-22 at Belterra Resort in Florence, Ind. This is the second year the conference will host  the championship in Florence.
 
The par 72 layout will challenge individuals across the G-MAC with a 54-hole stroke play competition followed by a final medal match play round between the top two scoring teams to determine the conference champion.
 
Findlay is the top-rated G-MAC team in the Midwest Region, ranked No. 2 behind Grand Valley. The Oilers are coming off of a fourth-place finish at the Wright State Invitational in a field of Division I programs. Luke Metzger leads the Oilers, ranked seventh in the region with a scoring average of 71.7 through 30 rounds. Findlay advanced to the medal match round at the championship last season before falling to Ohio Dominican. Leading up to the 2025conference championship, the Oilers claimed two G-MAC titles in 2024 and 2018.
 
Tiffin and Hillsdale round out teams in the latest regional rankings at No. 7 and 10 respectively. Mitchell Brassard is ranked No. 20  in the region with a 73.1 scoring average. The Dragons most recently finished in the top five at UINDY’s Ken Partridge Invitational, recording a 54-hole score of 889.
 
Hillsdale’s Robert Thompson enters the tournament as the league’s top-rated golfer, sitting at No. 5 in the region. Through 24 rounds, Thompson has tabbed a scoring average of 71.6. Hillsdale is currently ranked No. 10 in the Midwest.
 
The tournament format will feature 36 holes of stroke play on the opening day, followed by 18 on day two. The two teams with the lowest aggregate scores will advance to the medal match play on the final day.
 
The top individual finisher in stroke play will be recognized as the individual medalist.
