INDIANAPOLIS -- Week 5 of the 2026 Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) stunt season delivered some of the most highly anticipated matchups of the year. From Top-25 conference clashes to a monumental test against the top team in Division I, G-MAC programs were pushed to their limits as the season crossed the halfway mark.

#12 Tiffin Dragons Earn Major Conference Victories

The 12th-ranked Tiffin Dragons had a spectacular weekend, securing two massive Top-25 conference wins to build their resume.

On Friday night, Tiffin hosted #22 Walsh University inside the Heminger Center. The Dragons came out firing, taking a 4-1 lead after the first quarter and entirely shutting out the Cavaliers in the second and third quarters. Tiffin sealed the commanding 24-7 victory with a 13-point fourth quarter.

The following day, Tiffin traveled for a neutral-site thriller against #8 Malone. In a tightly contested back-and-forth battle, the Dragons built an 11-6 halftime lead by sweeping the pyramids and tosses quarter. Malone fought back hard in the second half, but Tiffin managed the final rounds of the team routine perfectly to secure a massive 24-21 upset victory over the Pioneers. Tiffin also picked up an 11-2 win over Ursuline later in the day.

#8 Malone Pioneers Split the Ursuline Tri-Match

The 8th-ranked Pioneers traveled to Pepper Pike, Ohio, for a Saturday tri-match at Ursuline College.

Malone opened the day with the aforementioned heavyweight clash against #12 Tiffin. Despite an incredible effort in the fourth quarter to close a five-point halftime deficit, the Pioneers narrowly fell, 24-21.

However, Malone bounced back emphatically against the host, #26 Ursuline College. The Pioneers controlled the mat from start to finish, sweeping the opening partner stunts and dominating the team routines to comfortably secure a 14-3 victory. The win moved Malone to an impressive 9-2 overall on the season.

On Sunday, the Pioneers returned to Canton to celebrate Senior Day against Muskingum University. In a thrilling back-and-forth contest that was tied 3-3 after the first quarter and 11-11 heading into the fourth, Muskingum managed to pull away in the final team routines. Despite outscoring the Muskies 3-1 in the fourth round, Malone's comeback fell just short, resulting in a narrow 23-21 defeat to drop to 9-3 overall on the season.

#6 Ashland Eagles Split Michigan Trip Against Elite Competition

The 6th-ranked Ashland Eagles hit the road for a trio of high-profile matchups that severely tested their mettle.

On Saturday in Alma, MI, the Eagles faced a towering challenge against California Baptist, the No. 1 ranked team in Division I. The Lancers proved why they are the top team in the country, snapping Ashland's nine-game win streak with a 26-4 decision. Undeterred, the Eagles immediately bounced back in their second game of the day, comfortably dispatching #15 East Stroudsburg 27-7.

Ashland closed out their road trip on Sunday with a crucial conference battle against #9 Davenport in Grand Rapids. The Panthers proved too much to handle, dealing the Eagles a 31-8 defeat. The loss marked Ashland's first conference stumble of the year, dropping them to 10-4 overall and 6-1 in G-MAC play.
