The Great Midwest women’s basketball programs entered week eight of the 2025-26 season. Teams continued conference play as Northwood holds the best conference record of 9-1.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS:
  • Conference leaders Northwood picked up a pair of wins over Ursuline and Lake Erie during week eight. The Timberwolves forced the Arrows to 23 turnovers and shot 42.2% from the field. Lexie Bowers led Northwood with 15 points on five of six from the field. Sophomore Lea Holmes poured in 18 points in a 79-53 win over Lake Erie. Holmes was 9-13 on the day and grabbed eight rebounds.
  • The Walsh Cavaliers pulled off an upset over Kentucky Wesleyan, holding the Panthers to just 38 points. Kiley Dyrlund was again led the Cavaliers with 26 points and six rebounds. The Walsh defense proved dominant, forcing 31 turnovers.
  • The Oilers defeated Lake Erie and went on to come out on top in a close battle with Ohio Dominican. After trailing 24-15 at the end of the first quarter, a second half surge pushed the Oilers to victory. Ariyah Douglas connected on a three with 2:27 left in the game to put Findlay ahead 63-60. The win puts Findlay at 4-5 in G-MAC play.
  • Ashland extended their win streak to five after beating Tiffin in week eight. Freshman Jenna Slates finished the game with 23 points and a game-high 14 rebounds.
  • Tiffin upset Hillsdale in a convincing 80-52 win. Isabelle Niederst was 9-14 on the day to finish with 23 points.
