INDIANAPOLIS – Ashland University’s Rachel McCool, who serves as the Great Midwest Athletic Conference National SAAC Representative, has been elected to the position of External Communications Coordinator for the NCAA Division II National Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
In her new role, McCool will help lead the national committee’s communication efforts, sharing the voices and stories of Division II student-athletes across the country. She will play an important part in promoting initiatives that enhance the overall student-athlete experience, including mental health awareness, community engagement, and legislative input within the NCAA governance structure.
“I am incredibly honored to be elected by my peers on National SAAC to help further serve fellow DII student-athletes,” said McCool. “In this new role I hope to continue making an impact and creating a positive experience for all student-athletes.”
McCool has been an active leader within both the G-MAC and Ashland University communities, consistently representing the interests and perspectives of student-athletes. Her continued involvement on the national level underscores her commitment to advocacy, communication, and service.
