Just a sophomore, the Cavaliers’ lockdown defense has been pioneered by McClanahan, who has reeled off five consecutive scoreless appearances in over 378 minutes on the pitch.
McClanahan and Walsh’s latest efforts included a pair of conference shutouts against reigning conference tourney champion Davis & Elkins and against Alderson Broaddus. Both contests were on the road as Walsh improved to 5-0-0 on the year.
McClanahan has been impressive in Midwest Region contests after additionally recording a shutout with the full 90 minutes against Northwood (MI) and over 71 minutes in net vs. Purdue Northwest.
McClanahan made five saves on a total of 19 shots faced by D&E and AB.
