Giannou started off her collegiate career by scoring two goals and assisting on two more in a 10-0 home opener against University of Pikeville. At 17:56 she scored the first goal of her collegiate career, then less than three minutes later assisted on another one to Paula Valbuena.
In the second half she scored her second goal of the game to put the Fighting Scots up 6-0 and finished up her game with an assist to Iona Rothfield at 62:35.
She continued her offensive showcase on the road against conference foe Cedarville with yet another assist to Valbuena at 73:58 to put Ohio Valley up 2-0. It took her less than a minute after that to score one for herself, her third in two games.
