Clifton and the Senators rolled to a 9-0 shutout non-conference win against West Virginia State in the past week.
Clifton first got things started in a match against WVSU junior Caleb Starkey, winning the match in straight sets, 6-1, 6-1.
Clifton then partnered up with fellow teammate Tristram Spitsnaugle and defeated West Virginia State’s Kaleb Ball and Noah Fulks in a set, 9-7.
The wins this weekend put Clifton above .500, moving his record to 10-9 in singles action.
D&E’s record now stands at 6-7 on the season.
