Tabbed G-MAC Player of the Week, the slugging Norton flashed more extra-base pop as the Senators split a conference series against Kentucky Wesleyan and completed a 4-2 week with a sweep against Salem International.
While the Senators improved to 10-12 overall, D&E recorded its first league victories.
Norton hit a sound .409 at the plate with six extra-base hits that included two home runs and four doubles. She had nine hits and nine RBI while scoring four times.
The outfielder from Virginia Beach, Va., homered and drove in three in the DH opener against SIU. She opened the KWC series in Elkins with a 2-for-4 effort and another home run, the 14th of her career, before blasting three doubles as part of a 4-for-5 day at the plate to begin the month of April.
This spring, Norton is now batting .338 in 21 game with six doubles and four home runs. Her 21 RBI is currently fourth in the league.
Career-wise, Norton ranks fifth in G-MAC history in batting average (.358) and slugging percentage (.554). She also ranks seventh in hits (148) and ninth in RBI (94). Her 39 doubles is tied for third all-time.
