Jones was the workhouse as the Battlers controlled the line of scrimmage and established the run game against Malone in a historic G-MAC contest.
After scoring three touchdowns in week five vs. Fort Valley State, Jones carried the ball 40 times for 230 yards, both single-game conference records in the league's young history of the sport.
Jones also caught four passes for 36 yards. He reeled off a 39-yard dash on his first touch of the game and averaged almost six yards per carry to wear down the Pioneers' defense.
Jones scored his fifth rushing touchdown to cap a 12-play, 84-yard scoring drive in the first quarter. Through five games this year, he has 651 yards and an average of 130.2 yards per game this season.
