Not to get confused with the other two Norton’s on the Senators roster, Danielle Norton has returned from a 2015 absence with a vengeance at the plate to begin 2016.
In the first game against St. Andrews she went four for five from the plate with four RBI. She highlighted an eight-run D&E third inning with a bases-clearing double that scored teammates Kayla Whoolery, Chelsie Stover and Kaitlyn Huffman.
Norton matched her RBI total in game two as the Senators collected an 11-5 win. She had a two-run double in the fifth inning and plated two more runs with a single in the fourth frame.
In just eight games, Norton is batting .529 (18-34) with six doubles and 14 RBI. She has scored 10 runs and walked once.
