Jones carried a considerable amount of the pitching burden to begin the spring, and the start of a promising collegiate career.
The freshman pitched in all four games and made two starts, combining for 13 innings and a more-than-respectable 2.69 ERA.
She earned her first winning decision in the circle against Eckerd, tossing six innings in a 5-4 win.
Jones also started against Saint Leo to finish out Ursuline’s Florida trip, allowing just one run on four hits in four strong innings pitched.

Ursuline went into the sixth innings trailing 3-0 to the Tritons.
In 13 innings, she gave up five earned runs on 17 hits and walked three. She struck out two and finished the weekend with a 1-1 record.
