Dillon King guided the Yellow Jackets to a perfect 2-0 record on the week, highlighted by a 2-1 overtime victory over Shepherd in the seventh annual Dave Jones Memorial Classic. King, who has started all 12 games on the season, scored the game-winning overtime goal in the 95th minute.
On the play, King received a perfect tremendous cross on a set-piece in which he deflected toward the net. The ball hit off the cross bar directly back at King, who then headed the ball back into the net for the game winner.
In the team’s second game of the week, a 5-0 homecoming win over future G-MAC foe Georgetown College, King provided an assist on the final goal of the contest. King’s Yellow Jackets improve to 9-1-1 and are currently ranked #10 in the Great Lakes Region.
