Katelyn Norton has been named the Softball Offensive Athlete of the Week for the first time this season. The junior infielder played the vital role in D&E winning all four of its games this past week.
Norton led the conference in almost every offensive category this past week, and the ones she didn’t she ranked right behind a familiar face - her sister Danielle Norton.
Katelyn led the way with a .667 batting average, a 1.250 slugging percentage, and a .714 on-base percentage. She scored five times, recorded eight hits, and had a league best 10 runs batted in over four games. She also hit two home runs to total 15 total bases.
