Currently ranked third in his weight class at 184 pounds, Pasiuk was dominant in a weekend duals display against No. 7 UIndy and Davenport. Ashland split the team results with a win vs. Davenport and narrow defeat vs. the Greyhounds. The Eagles were noticeably shy of being at full strength in their lineup.

It was Ashland's first regular-season competition under new head coach Colt Sponseller after starting 2021 with the Great Midwest Championship tournament team title down at Kentucky Wesleyan.

Pasiuk has recorded bonus points in all four of his matches in the season to date after winning via technical fall and a major decision in the conference tournament for the 184 lb. title and first team all-conference honors.

The senior pinned both of his opponents, including ninth-ranked Gleason Mappes from UIndy, in short order with a 1:53 stick.

Ashland defeated Davenport by a score of 28-12 with Pasiuk giving his team six points with his second pin of the day against Jackson Nevadomski. This time he was able to get the job done in 2:27 to move to 4-0 on the young campaign.

The Eagles are slated for another tri-meet this Saturday, this time against Findlay and Tiffin at Findlay. With three nationally ranked programs pitted against each other on the mats, there will be some intriguing matchups between several weight classes throughout the day.

This is Pasiuk's and Ashland's first-ever conference athlete of the week award in the Great Midwest.
