Nine different conference throwers have made their impact with provisional distances in the discus throw, including Casper, who set a PR at the Hillsdale Outdoor Tune-Up.
In four other events this spring, Casper has been close in the discus with all of his longest throws, and broke through in Allendale to post the conference’s second best distance in 2021 only to Findlay’s Austin Combs.
Just a freshman, Casper placed third with a distance of 51.49m (168’11”) and bested his 51.10m from the Myrtle Beach Collegiate Challenge in mid-March.
Casper has also competed in the shot put and hammer throw throughout his first season.
