An outdoor Division II national champion and indoor All-American, Ansiel is most certainly one of the finest in his craft in the country for the pole vault.

At the Warrior Invite hosted by Indiana Tech, the senior reached impressive heights once against with a clearance of 5.20m (17’ 0.75”) for one of the top marks in conference history.

For the most part, Ansiel is chasing himself at the top of the Great Midwest best performances in pole vault with possession of five of the top 10 heights cleared.

His first attempt of 2021 resulted in the third-highest clearance and it was just shy of his 5.25m and record 5.26m recorded when he was just a sophomore.

Ansiel currently ranks second in Division II for the season to date behind the only auto qualifier in the country, Central Missouri’s Vincent Hobbie (5.23m).
