Curtis-Collins already established the No. 2 overall time in conference history in the 5K this year and in the past weekend at the GVSU Extra Weekend Meet, became the only conference runner to provisionally qualify in the 1,500-meter run.
The Malone standout ran a 4:26.86 and was right on the verge of breaking into the top 10 conference list that is marked with former national champion Carsyn Koch-Johnson of Cedarville and former Walsh standouts Sarah Berger and Andra Lehotay.
Curtis-Collins finished fourth in the event and goes into the conference championship meet currently ranked 16th in Division II.
This is her second conference outdoor weekly honor of the current spring season.
