Trevecca Nazarene completed its seventh tournament of the 2020-21 season at the Saginaw Valley State Spring Invite in Lexington, Ky., as Turner tied for top honors in the field.
The senior fired a two-round score of 136 (-8) as the Trojans finished runner-up in the team scoring with six Great Midwest programs in attendance for the tournament.
Turner (70-66) tied with Grand Valley State’s Charles Delong as the top individual and the Trojans finished just seven strokes off of the first-place tournament team score.
Turner posted a 66 (-6) for the second time this season, also having done so at the Mississippi College Invitational. He has the second lowest rounds this season in the conference only to Ohio Dominican’s Blake Saffell and a 65 (-7).
Through 16 rounds played, Turner has also taken over the league lead in scoring average for the season. He has five top-10 finishes and is averaging 71.06 strokes per 18 holes.
