Turner went back-to-back for conference weekly honors after recently dominating the Mississippi College Invitational and now, posting the second-best score in the field at the TNU-hosted Music City Invitational.
Turner was runner-up to only Ashland’s Beau Beryl at the Hermitage Golf Club as the Trojans delivered a team title with a two-round score of 569 (290-279).
Turner posted rounds of 67 (-5) and 69 (-3) to finish with a 36-hole total of 136 (-8). As a team, TNU beat out several teams from the Midwest Region that should bode well for postseason hopes, including Northwood, Ferris State and Ashland, a future conference member.
Turner lowered his average yet again, this time to a league-leading number of 71.50 on the season in 14 rounds scored.
