Tim Stollings had a record-setting day on Friday as he broke the Findlay and Great Midwest records in both the 50-yard freestyle and 100-yard butterfly. His record-breaking times of 19.73 in the 50-yard freestyle and 46.45 in the 100-yard butterfly easily won him both events and reached NCAA automatic qualifying marks.
Stollings and teammates Daniel Garcia, Adam Hornak and Paul Pavala also won the 400-yard medley with a time of 3:24.89. Stollings leg in the 400-yard freestyle reached NCAA Division II “B” standard.
Stollings once again broke school and conference records on Saturday, winning the 100-yard backstroke and 100-yard butterfly. His time of 47.20 in the 100-yard backstroke set a new school and conference record, while achieving NCAA “B” standard. Stollings then broke his own record set a day prior in the 100-yard butterfly, with a time of 46.02. That mark was good enough to reach NCAA “A” standard.
The sophomore also swam a leg in two winning relay teams on Saturday. He teamed up with Pavala, Garcia and Kristofers Bregis to win the 200-yard medley relay in 1:31.02. Stollings then joined Hornak, Bregis and Luca Chiandussi to win the 200-yard freestyle really in 1:23.27.
