Ashley Crooke has been named the Softball Offensive Athlete of the Week for the first time this season. Crooke earned this week’s honor after producing a stellar week at the plate leading her team to a 3-3 week against some tough opponents, including #10 North Georgia.
On the week, Crooke went 5-12 over the six games. She reached base in all six games last week, and recorded a hit in the final five games of last week. She hit .417, while posting a .438 on-base percentage and a .667 slugging percentage.
In the six contests she had three doubles and three runs batted in. She also scored four times.
Crooke experienced her best week of the season through 20 games. In the first 14 games, she hit .200 with six runs, five RBI, and two doubles - so hitting .417 with four runs, three RBI, and three doubles over six games is a dramatic improvement for the junior.
