Cartier completed the trifecta of weekly conference honors and may be officially separating himself from the pack in the running for player of the year.

As the No. 15-ranked Chargers (11-1 overall) continue to rise in the Division II poll and extend their win streak now at eight straight, Cartier has only continued to sustain his excellent level of play on both ends of the floor.

Cartier's third player of the week nod included more video game-like numbers as he averaged 26 points and 7.5 rebounds per game while shooting almost 76 percent from the floor on his shot attempts.

Cartier quite simply didn't miss the target much at all against Lake Erie and Ohio Dominican as he went a combined 22-of-29 in both home victories.

The sophomore chalked up another double-double with 23 points and 10 rebounds in the box score against the Storm. He missed only three of his 13 shots and added three assists, one block and one steal.

He accounted for over half his teams points in the defensive display against ODU as the Chargers defense gave up just 41 in the game. Cartier had his way on the interior with a new career-high 29 points. This time, he was 12-of-16 from the field and he was a perfect 5-for-5 on free throws.

Cartier also contributed three steals and one assist in 36 minutes on the floor. His increased scoring output has resulted in Cartier being the current league leader at 18.5 ppg. He ranks fourth in the league in FG% at 62.6.
