The beat of the drum goes on as the Lakers explosion on offense officially locked up the Great Midwest regular season title following wins against Davis & Elkins and Alderson Broaddus. Mercyhurst also faced No. 8 ranked Mercy in what amounted to their lone loss of the spring so far in a midweek tussle.
Pipher, an All-American and conference offensive player of the year, racked up some impressive passing numbers in the three-game stint, including four goals and 16 assists.
The Lakers generated 68 goals over the past week of competition, including 55 combined vs. D&E/AB. Pipher matched his season-high point production (from the season opener against Molloy) with nine points vs. Alderson Broaddus as he finished with one goal and 9 assists.
He was on the helping end of seven goals vs. D&E and came through with three goals and four assists vs. Mercy.
Pipher now has 60 points on the spring season and has started all 10 games possible.
