For the third time this spring, Toth was tabbed pitcher of the week for his turn through the rotation against Findlay in the final series of the regular season.
Toth had his strikeout stuff working again to frustrate the opponent’s offense as he fanned nine in a seven-inning complete game effort. The junior right scattered seven hits and gave up no earned runs while walking two.
Toth has five starts with double-digit strikeouts, including a season-high 12 against both Malone and Cedarville this spring.
He has recorded 91 punchouts in 58.1 IP while going 3-2 with a 4.32 ERA. Toth figures to get his next start of the season in Hillsdale’s first tournament game on Wednesday as the Chargers earned the No. 6 seed in the championship bracket.
