The Oilers hosted the Findlay Spring Invite at University Club of Kentucky’s Big Blue Course, upcoming site for the conference championship in April.

The Oilers, ranked sixth nationally in the WGCA Poll, were led by the freshman Woods, another indication of how scary good the team can be with its depth.

Findlay posted the second-best 54-hole tournament team score in program history with an 887 as Woods secured all-tournament honors with a 215 (74-69-72) to finish 1-under par.

Woods was tied for runner-up in the scoring with UMSL’s Emma Thorngren and Grand Valley State’s Katie Chipman would finish as medalist.

The Oilers were only three strokes off GVSU’s winning pace at 884. Woods started the day with a birdie on the 16th hole and concluded her second round, which was postponed from the day before, with a 69 (-3).

For the event, Woods took advantage of the Par 5s as she was second in the tournament at six-under on those holes. She also finished second in the event with 11 total birdies.
